Why We CARE

Four Letter Word-Make an ImpactWe at Four Letter Word don’t want to just meet people’s basic needs, instead, we want to provide people with resources to provide for themselves. We are committed to making the world a better place, one person, one family, one community at a time.

“Through my travels I’ve noticed a lot of third world communities have expectations that Americans and Europeans have a soft spot for people in need. I would hear the phrases, “Give me money” or “Give me food” I would see a lot of people approach me with needy hands and high expectations. When thinking about helping them in those moments, it was hard not to give away the change in my pocket or the food in my hand. I realized this was creating more of a dependency then empowering them to provide for themselves. I know from experience change comes within, we need to be providing people with the resources to change rather than giving them everything they need. Knowledge and wisdom are important; those are the things I want to be handing out.” -Rayna Joy Cohen, Philanthropist

I love the concept that if people can change their way of thinking, they can change the world.” -Anonymous
